Project Controls Manager - Electrical Construction

About the role

The Project Controls Manager will be the financial and operational heartbeat of large‑scale electrical construction projects, from pre‑construction through close‑out. Reporting to executive leadership, this role partners with project managers, operations, and accounting to deliver accurate forecasting, cost control, and performance analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project controls activities for assigned construction projects, covering cost control, earned value management, scheduling, billing, and reporting.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve project controls processes and reporting standards.
• Monitor project health through cost analysis, productivity metrics, KPIs, and risk analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers to produce financial projections, cash‑flow forecasts, and project completion estimates.
• Oversee billing processes, including AIA billing, percentage‑of‑completion reporting, and contract compliance.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with billing, scheduling, certified payroll, minority participation, insurance, and other obligations.
• Manage change control by tracking scope changes, schedule impacts, and associated cost adjustments.
• Integrate budgets, work breakdown structures, procurement milestones, and schedules into comprehensive reporting systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading project controls on large‑scale construction projects, preferably in electrical or mission‑critical environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with project managers, operations, and senior leadership.
• Leadership experience supervising analysts and schedulers.
