Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager

About the role

Langan is seeking a Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Tyler, TX. You will lead the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects while mentoring junior staff and fostering client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate client communication and maintain strong client relationships.
• Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Develop new business opportunities and support firm growth initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects within budget, schedule, and deadline constraints.
• Prepare and review reports, feasibility studies, stormwater management plans, technical specifications, and utility reports.
• Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, SWPPP preparation, and water‑quality compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 6 years of experience in site/civil land development.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project timelines.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design (site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure).
• Erosion and sediment control planning.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including SWPPP preparation.
• Water‑quality compliance knowledge.
• Report and proposal writing.
