Programme Management Officer (Accountability and Risk Management)

About the role

The Programme Management Officer (Accountability and Risk Management) supports the Executive Officer in overseeing fiduciary responsibilities for OCHA’s Country and Regional Pooled Funds, including the recent US award. Based in New York, the role contributes to enterprise risk management across OCHA programmes and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Executive Officer in fiduciary oversight of pooled funds, ensuring compliance with UN regulatory frameworks.
• Liaise with oversight bodies on audits, evaluations, investigations, and oversight processes related to pooled funds and implementing partners.
• Advise on the management of the US award for OCHA’s pooled funds.
• Serve as focal point for OCHA’s corporate enterprise risk management and implement the Corporate Risk Management Strategy.
• Ensure annual reporting and collaborate with DMSPC on ERM risk register compliance.
• Lead ERM training for managers and staff and support implementation across divisions and offices.
• Coordinate UN and OCHA reform processes, preparing inputs and background papers for senior management.

• Reports to the Senior Programme Management Officer (Accountability and Risk Management).
• Works under the overall supervision of the Executive Officer.
