Program Trainer – Employee & Volunteer Training

About the role

The Program Trainer supports the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs for Upbring staff, contractors, and volunteers. Working under the Lead Program Trainer, this role ensures all learning activities meet agency policies, state licensing standards, CARF accreditation requirements, and other regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate instructional training on topics such as crisis intervention, de‑escalation, safety, behavior management, milieu management, CPR, and First Aid.
• Assist the Lead Program Trainer during audits by maintaining training documentation and monitoring corrective action plans.
• Review, update, and assign training materials in the Learning Management System (LMS) to align with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Maintain a training matrix and ensure all training records are current and compliant.
• Assess employee skill sets through observations and training sessions, and develop action plans to address gaps.

Required profile

• Experience delivering training to new hires, existing staff, contractors, and volunteers.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and CARF accreditation training requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for managing training records and audit documentation.
• Ability to evaluate skill levels and create targeted development plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Learning Management System (LMS).
