Program Officer, Ebola

About the role

The Program Officer, Ebola will join the STRIDES global Ebola response team, supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring of outbreak response projects. The role ensures that activities stay on schedule, within budget and comply with donor and organisational requirements while coordinating resources and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate outbreak response resources including consultants, partners, travel and procurement.
• Develop and review work plans, prepare presentations and support project deliverables.
• Monitor expenditures, budgets and project risks, and report to senior managers.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal policies and external regulations.
• Oversee reporting processes, aggregate data for oversight and represent the project at client and funder meetings.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, internal units and external stakeholders.
• Support knowledge‑management initiatives, document management and operational tasks such as drafting position descriptions and onboarding new hires.
• Assist business development by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of outbreak response settings and integration with project management.
• Experience in programmatic management, budgeting and compliance monitoring.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and liaise with partners and donors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
