About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Program Manager to lead MCOS initiatives (B4 level) in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on aligning supply chain, engineering, and finance teams to achieve cost‑reduction targets that support the company’s semiconductor and advanced‑display portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Align SAM groups, business units and central teams on MCOS priorities, pipeline expectations and execution rigor across all cost‑reduction lanes.
- Consolidate and maintain enterprise MCOS forecasts in MCM, including monthly updates, scenario planning and alignment to AOP targets.
- Partner with Finance to validate savings realization, reconcile forecast versus actuals and prepare executive‑ready quarter‑end reporting.
- Develop and sustain a robust MCOS pipeline across BUs and SAM teams, ensuring sufficiency, quality and execution readiness.
- Lead the SPG‑level MCOS operating cadence, communicating risks, gaps and mitigation actions to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional, high‑complexity initiatives and influence without direct authority.
- Strong analytical skills to solve ambiguous enterprise‑level challenges and devise innovative cost‑reduction strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to executive and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Required skills
- Deep expertise in cost optimization, supply‑chain management and MCOS/MCM tools, including forecasting and actuals reporting methodologies.
- Business acumen to interpret cross‑BU cost challenges and drive scalable levers that improve financial performance.
