Program Manager

About the role

Moog’s Space & Defense division is seeking a Program Manager to lead multiple critical programs from our Blacksburg, VA location. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, serve as the primary customer interface, and ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent programs, aligning them with strategic objectives and delivering results on schedule and within scope.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, contracts, and sales to ensure seamless execution of program deliverables.
• Act as the primary customer interface, maintaining strong relationships through proactive communication and regular program updates.
• Oversee program planning and execution, including contract review, compliance analysis, risk management, and performance tracking.
• Utilize advanced project‑management tools such as MS Project to monitor schedules, identify resource constraints, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives, leading Lean Product Development activities and driving process enhancements.
• Provide executive‑level reporting on program health, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of program or project management experience.
• Proven success managing cross‑functional programs in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management software.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
