Program Manager, International Disaster Response

About the role

The International Disaster Response Program Manager leads a multi‑country humanitarian consortium, overseeing planning, implementation, monitoring and learning across diverse crisis contexts. Reporting to the Head of Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, the role ensures that interventions are effective, donor‑compliant and aligned with organizational strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and coordination for disaster risk reduction programs in multiple countries.
• Support country offices and partners in project planning, adaptation, monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with humanitarian standards, donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Facilitate collaboration among consortium members, donors, and stakeholders.
• Promote capacity strengthening, accountability to affected populations and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑country humanitarian or disaster response programs.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian standards, disaster risk reduction and emergency management.
• Ability to work flexibly across time zones and adapt to evolving funding landscapes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
