Program Manager Child Occupant Safety Project

About the role

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Child Occupant Safety Project. This federally grant‑funded position oversees statewide initiatives that protect children in vehicles and ensures compliance with grant requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all grant objectives and activities related to Child Passenger Safety.
• Support statewide program implementation, coordination, and evaluation.
• Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and allocate resources.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate with Program Managers and other managerial staff as needed.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to Regional Coordinators.
• Assign work to subordinate staff and manage large numbers of agency personnel.

Required profile

• Experience managing grant‑funded projects.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑regional programs and evaluate outcomes.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills under general supervision.
