Program Director, Workers’ Rights

About the role

The Asian Law Caucus seeks an experienced attorney to lead its Workers’ Rights Program. This senior position will guide a multidisciplinary team in protecting immigrant and low‑wage workers across the Bay Area through litigation, policy advocacy, direct legal services, and organizing support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Workers’ Rights Program, overseeing strategic litigation, policy advocacy, direct legal services, and worker‑organizing initiatives.
• Develop and execute high‑impact cases addressing wage theft, discrimination, unsafe workplaces, and immigration‑related employment issues.
• Build and sustain partnerships with worker centers, community groups, and other stakeholders to amplify worker‑led campaigns.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of attorneys, advocates, and support staff, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.
• Represent the organization at public meetings, retreats, and industry events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney with extensive experience in labor, employment, or immigration law.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex litigation and policy initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of challenges faced by Asian and Pacific Islander immigrant workers.
• Strong leadership, team‑management, and supervisory skills.
• Commitment to social‑justice advocacy and community‑centered work.
