Program Director – Aerospace Programs

About the role

Moog is seeking a Program Director to lead one or more complex aerospace programs from concept through product delivery. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, Production Programs – Americas, you will ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall program success – schedule, scope, cost, quality, risk, and technical performance.
• Define program lifecycle plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and performance metrics.
• Identify, prioritize, and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risks; enforce configuration control and change management.
• Lead cross‑functional coordination with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, testing, quality, and sustainment teams.
• Manage high‑level customer relationships, negotiate contracts and statements of work, and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and earned‑value metrics in partnership with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100), regulatory requirements, export controls (ITAR/EAR), and corporate safety policies.
• Build, coach, and retain high‑performing program teams; hire and develop successors.
• Provide executive‑level program status, metrics, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with proven experience managing complex aerospace or high‑value equipment programs.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive schedule, cost, and quality performance.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing customer relationships.
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and earned‑value analysis.
