Professor – Tenure-Track Faculty Position

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a tenure‑track Professor to join its Neurosurgery Faculty. This full‑time academic appointment combines teaching, research, and clinical responsibilities within a collaborative health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate curricula in neurosurgery and related biomedical sciences.
• Conduct innovative research, secure external funding, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Provide clinical mentorship and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or PhD with a strong background in neurosurgery or neuroscience.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Arkansas and a record of scholarly productivity.
