Professional Social Services Worker – Part‑time

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Professional Social Services Worker to provide rehabilitation counseling, referral services, and resident evaluation for youth at the Martha K. Glaze RYDC in Clayton, GA. This part‑time position works under broad supervision and focuses on mental‑health screening, assessment, and therapeutic support.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake services and mental‑health screenings for youth, ensuring timely completion per policy.
• Perform comprehensive mental‑health assessments, interview youth and families, and compile written reports.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and crisis‑management plans.
• Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups, or families, facilitating positive behavioral and social change.
• Document referrals, recommendations, and care plans, and maintain accurate records.
