About the role

Join Marshall Dennehey’s litigation team in Philadelphia as a Professional Liability Attorney focusing on public officials and government entities. The position provides a collaborative environment, intentional mentorship, and a clear path toward independent case management.

Key responsibilities

• Represent government officials, police officers, prison guards, cities, and municipalities in civil rights, employment, and general litigation matters.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal strategies.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and appear in court as needed.
• Collaborate closely with experienced shareholders and associates to deliver high‑quality representation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with exposure to government or public‑sector matters.
• Demonstrated interest in representing public officials and governmental bodies.
• Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication abilities.
• Commitment to professional growth within a mentorship‑driven environment.
