Professional Laboratory Assistant - Paramedicine

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Athens Technical College, seeks a Professional Laboratory Assistant to support paramedicine education. You will work directly with faculty to ensure smooth classroom and lab operations, contributing to the training of future emergency‑care professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, and safety procedures.
• Track student attendance and maintain accurate documentation.
• Tutor or mentor students in laboratory techniques.
• Clean and prepare labs, ensuring a safe learning environment.
• Obtain and organize class materials, including texts and supplies.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Georgia.
• At least one year of experience in advanced life support, pre‑hospital, or emergency care.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
• Ability to submit a cover letter, resume, three professional references and unofficial transcripts.
