About the role

The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University invites a distinguished professional to serve as the Marie M. Bickham Endowed Chair. This short‑term residency combines teaching, studio participation, workshops, and public lectures, enriching the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a studio session and provide critiques to graduate students.
• Design and deliver a workshop or seminar aligned with the School’s curriculum.
• Present a public lecture on a topic of expertise in landscape architecture.
• Collaborate with the Director of the School and the Dean of the College of Art & Design to define the residency’s final assignments.
• Engage fully in daily life of the School, contributing to its teaching, scholarship, and service missions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in landscape architecture or a closely related discipline.
• Eight to ten years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• National or international reputation demonstrated through exhibitions, publications, awards, or notable professional achievements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff.
