Productivity Project/Program Manager

About the role

The SPO organization at Applied Materials is looking for execution‑driven productivity leaders who blend strong field credibility with advanced analytics and program‑management expertise. In this role you will drive global productivity initiatives end‑to‑end, from data‑driven opportunity identification through prioritization, execution and long‑term sustainment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex field and operational data into actionable insights and improvement opportunities.
• Build and manage a prioritized pipeline of productivity initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional teams across regions to execute initiatives and achieve measurable productivity gains.
• Ensure disciplined program management, governance and accountability throughout implementation.
• Develop scalable adoption mechanisms such as standard work processes, performance dashboards and change‑management frameworks.
• Provide executive‑level reporting on initiative progress, risks and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Analytics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in operations, service operations, manufacturing, industrial engineering or continuous‑improvement roles.
• Proven experience in cycle‑time reduction, cost optimization and Lean implementation.
• Strong data orientation with experience building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and translating data into actions.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
• Project‑management certifications such as PMP or Agile.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI and Tableau.
• Process‑improvement and change‑management expertise.
