Production Worker – Bread & Roll Packaging

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Production Worker to join our bread and roll packaging line in Ronkonkoma, NY. The role involves manual handling, packaging, and ensuring product quality while adhering to food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up bread and rolls for processing and orient them before blast freezers.
• Inspect, weigh, and label products, reporting any inconsistencies.
• Insert plastic liners, place cases on conveyors, and operate sealing machines.
• Identify and remove non‑conforming items (shape, size, weight, color, seams).
• Rotate among tasks within the packing department as directed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Attend safety, production, and department meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Up to one year of related experience in food production or packaging.
• Ability to follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and GMP regulations.
• Awareness of food safety hazards and SQF code requirements.

Required skills

• Machinery operation in a packaging environment.
