Production Technician Internship – Freeport, TX

About the role

BASF is seeking a Production Technician Intern to join its Freeport, Texas site. The internship provides hands‑on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, allowing students or recent graduates in Process Technology (PTEC) to work alongside production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily operator activities on the production line.
• Follow shift schedules and adhere to safety procedures.
• Support mechanical and technical tasks under supervision.
• Participate in pre‑employment assessments and training sessions.
• Document operational data and report observations.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Process Technology associate program, or an honorably discharged veteran with equivalent mechanical/technical training.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred or a professor’s recommendation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated work ethic.
