Production Supervisor - Nights

About the role

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is hiring a Production Supervisor for its plant in Elyria, Ohio. The position covers the night shift (6:45 pm to 7 am on a 2-2-3 schedule) and is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leadership role within Plant Operations. The supervisor coaches and mentors the team, sets best practices for the shift and leads by example, aiming to meet targets in safety, quality, service, cost and production.

Key responsibilities

• Direct supervision of daily operations such as staffing, quality control and schedule adherence
• Hold the team accountable for following procedures and conduct standards
• Enable process improvements and balance quality, safety, morale, productivity and cost
• Oversee employee training, qualification, proficiency and performance management
• Build a committed team with open communication and identify opportunities for improvement

Required profile

• Approximately 3-5+ years of production experience in manufacturing roles, with direct reports and shop-floor accountability
• Experience with scrap management, safety behaviors and quality controls
• Strong leadership, adaptability and prioritization skills; multi-tasking ability
• Hands-on experience in a lean manufacturing plant (5S, tier meetings, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Gemba walk, standard work) is a plus
• Associate degree or higher preferred but not required

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily and monthly reports; ERP/SAP experience is a plus
• Familiarity with workforce scheduling, overtime management and labor deployment

• Compensation typically ranging from $64,000 to $96,000 per year, depending on experience and location
