Production Supervisor – Medical Devices

About the role

Moog Medical Devices Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the assembly and repair of medical device components in Salt Lake City, UT. You will work on‑site, reporting to the Production Manager, and help ensure that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for the assembly/repair team to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, appraisals, professional development, and counseling of team members.
• Utilize the ERP system to track work order shortages, incoming parts, labor collection, and material movement.
• Monitor product quality, workmanship, and safety compliance during assembly and repair.
• Set up production lines for optimum efficiency and follow SOPs such as Non‑Conforming Material handling, traceability, and process controls.
• Prepare regular reports on scrap, yield, labor utilization, and overall efficiency.
• Promote lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.

Required profile

• Experience supervising assembly or repair operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, personal protective equipment requirements, and incident investigation procedures.
• Ability to train production leads, assemblers, and service personnel in basic assembly techniques.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to interact with multiple departments.
