Production Supervisor - Day Shift

About the role

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is hiring a Production Supervisor in Elyria, Ohio (860 Garden Street) for its plant operations. The role is a hands-on, day-shift position (6:45am-7pm on a 2-2-3 schedule) focused on coaching and motivating the team, driving best practices and hitting targets in safety, quality, service, cost and production.

Key responsibilities

• Direct supervision of daily operations such as staffing, quality control and schedule adherence
• Hold the team accountable for following procedures and conduct standards
• Enable process improvements and balance quality, safety, morale, productivity and cost
• Train, qualify and manage the performance of employees
• Build a committed team with open communication and identify improvement opportunities

Required profile

• Approximately 3-5+ years of production experience in manufacturing roles, with direct reports and shop floor accountability
• Experience with scrap management, safety behaviors and quality controls
• Reliable, punctual team player; associate degree or higher preferred but not required

Required skills

• Leadership, adaptability and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with workforce scheduling, overtime management and labor deployment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily and monthly reports; ERP/SAP experience is a plus
• Lean manufacturing experience (5S, tier meetings, Six Sigma, Gemba walk, standard work) is a plus

• Compensation typically ranging from $64,000 to $96,000 per year, depending on experience and location
