Production Scheduler – Planner II (B2)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an NPC Production Scheduler‑Planner II to support manufacturing operations in Austin. You will ensure material availability, maintain production schedules, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to keep semiconductor production on track.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP production order release schedule to provide on‑time material to manufacturing and engineering.
• Manage MRP start/end dates, perform pre‑shortage analysis and increase component availability at release.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Coordinate with buyers, planners, and finance to handle engineering change orders and resolve WIP issues.
• Audit physical inventory, attend production meetings and communicate material shortage commit dates.
• Analyze usage data and stock levels, order parts to meet service levels, and expedite shortages.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for process‑control issues.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of production control, inventory control, and Material Resources Planning (MRP) processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, finance, and procurement.
