Production Operator – Foam Molding

About the role

Adient is hiring a Production Operator for its foam molding line in Romulus. The operator inserts frames, wires, velcro, foam blocks and cloths into molds just before pouring foam, keeps the production area tidy and covers for absentees. Pay starts at $18.40-$19.15 plus shift premiums, with two shifts available: 6am-4:30pm and 7:30pm-6am.

Key responsibilities

• Insert frames, wires, velcro, foam blocks and cloths into molds just before pouring foam.
• Perform other jobs as required.
• Keep the production department clean and tidy.
• Cover for absenteeism.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Any combination of training and work experience showing the skills needed for the insert tasks.
• Dependable with a good attendance record, able to work overtime and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• Compliance with safety regulations and professional communication with team members.
• Physical demands: occasional lifting up to 30 pounds, frequent reaching, moderate noise, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
