Production Manager

About the role

Markarian, a New York‑based luxury fashion house, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the end‑to‑end production process for ready‑to‑wear, bridal, accessories and special projects. The role ensures collections are delivered on time, within budget and to the brand’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete production lifecycle from development handoff through final delivery across all product categories.
• Build and manage seasonal production calendars, tracking milestones and delivery dates.
• Track work in progress across domestic and international factories and anticipate production challenges.
• Manage multiple seasons, replenishment orders, special projects and made‑to‑order production simultaneously.
• Ensure collections meet Markarian’s quality, construction and delivery standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international manufacturing partners.
• Source and evaluate new factories and vendors as needed; negotiate timelines and capabilities.
• Monitor factory performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Review production samples, approve quality, and coordinate repairs or corrections.
• Partner closely with Design, Technical Design, Sales, E‑Commerce, Marketing, Customer Experience and Accounting throughout the process.
• Track production costs, maintain seasonal budgets and review vendor invoices.
