Production Management Supervisor I

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Supervisor I, Production Management to lead a manufacturing team at its Houston facility. You will ensure efficient production, compliance with quality standards, and continuous improvement across assembly, material handling, and packaging processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee team members to guarantee task completion and adherence to SOPs.
• Manage production activities to meet specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste, and quality targets.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate resources.
• Plan and prioritize line maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Lead or support quality investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe work environment and develop talent pipelines.
• Conduct performance management, talent development, and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 years, Associate + 6 years, or Master’s + 0 years).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule: Monday‑Wednesday and every other Thursday, 4 AM – 4 PM CST.
