Production Coordinator – Ready-to-Wear & Leather

About the role

As a Production Coordinator for John Varvatos in New York City, you will drive the development and delivery of Ready-to-Wear (Wovens) and Leather apparel. Working closely with design, sourcing and production teams, you will ensure that each collection moves smoothly from concept to final shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for all woven and leather RTW categories.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to keep the product development and production calendar on track.
• Participate in weekly development and production meetings.
• Maintain accurate data in company systems, including sample orders, purchase orders and cost sheets.
• Act as the primary liaison between factories and internal departments, tracking samples from prototypes to final tops.
• Monitor Work-In-Progress reports to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors to support development, production and delivery.
• Assist in sourcing and tracking raw materials such as fabrics and trims.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fashion product development or production.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, leathers and woven fabrics.
• Ability to manage multiple product categories with overlapping timelines.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, deadline-driven attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLM systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
