Production Coach (Supervisor) – Manufacturing Team Lead

About the role

Moog is looking for a Production Coach (Supervisor) to lead a manufacturing team in Blacksburg, VA. You will work on safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives while supporting Moog’s Space and Defense portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure use of safety devices, personal protective equipment, housekeeping, and respond to hazardous conditions or emergencies.
• Motivate and lead employees in a structured, team‑oriented environment.
• Interview, recommend, and manage selections, promotions, disciplinary actions, and separations.
• Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving activities and root‑cause corrective actions.
• Maintain clear communication between employees, departments, and management.
• Monitor and optimize workflow to drive efficiency and meet production goals.
• Develop, track, and communicate performance metrics; coach employees to improve skills.
• Conduct capacity analysis and support scheduling to meet company requirements.

Required profile

• Associate degree with at least 2 years of leadership experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of direct supervision experience.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality‑control standards.
• Excellent communication and team‑management abilities.
