Production Clerk

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Production Clerk in Newington. The clerk supports manufacturing and production processes by coordinating tasks, tracking materials and keeping records so that production runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Enter data daily on ingredients, raw material usage and inventory into the ERP system
• Support inventory control, including daily, weekly, quarterly and year-end checks
• Review and resolve material inventory variances in the ECC module, and investigate discrepancies with leadership
• Monitor system functionality and fix transaction and data-entry errors to avoid production delays
• Record daily production volume and product activity by line, and validate OEE against daily and weekly plans
• Help identify projects from shift notes and downtime logs, and assist in developing training materials and procedures
• Use data analysis and SAP tools to find key insights, and perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, emailing and report writing
• Support internal and external audits, keep the workplace tidy and follow the Saputo code of ethics

Required profile

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and keep organized records
• Demonstrated work history and good attendance
• Working knowledge of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift certification, if applicable

Required skills

• Accurate data entry and record keeping
• Proficiency with computer software for data entry and record keeping (SAP/DMS)
• Written and verbal communication skills

• Working in a noisy, temperature-changing manufacturing environment, standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 40 lbs
