Production Associate (Social Media Editor)

About the role

ABC News’ award‑winning prime‑time news magazine 20/20 is seeking a Production Associate who will also serve as a Social Media Editor. The role provides editorial and logistical support across the production pipeline, working closely with producers, editors, crews, and talent.

Key responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks, gather media assets, and conduct research for producers.
• Produce vertical video content and translate broadcast episodes into social‑media rollouts.
• Edit broadcast material into various digital formats.
• Support breaking‑news specials as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of archival and digital resources for video and still images.
• Basic understanding of production technology in pre‑ and post‑production, including Avid and Adobe.
• Proficiency in navigating social‑media platforms and creating content.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
