Production Associate

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Production Associate who performs several tasks involved in producing various products within one department. The role handles materials such as rubber, stretch cord and packing, and works under close supervision with limited independent judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Work on department processes, including inserting materials, clamping, fitting parts and using some hand tools
• Cut materials to specified dimensions using a tape measure, read work order spec sheets and double-check measurements
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Perform bench-type assembly of materials and sub-assemblies with hand, electronic and pneumatic tools
• Notify the supervisor of mechanical, material or safety issues
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages
• Follow standard work methods, operating procedures and job aids
• Pack finished goods correctly, box them and place them on designated pallets

Required profile

• Fluency in English, including speaking, reading and writing
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility
• Preferred: experience reading tape measures and other measurement devices, and basic math skills
