Product Quality & Reliability Engineer IV

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates materials, properties and techniques used in production from a reliability standpoint.
• Advises design engineering on selection, application and testing of electronic components and systems.
• Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required product reliability.
• Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to meet company, customer and governmental objectives.
• Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools for early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes and reliability.
• Makes recommendations for changes in component selection, application, design or formulation to improve system and process reliability.
• Develops and implements the division’s Quality Assurance program and policies, managing multiple projects.
• Prepares and presents quality management reports, maintains and improves quality documentation, and continuously improves QA receiving inspection processes.
• Performs FMECA, documents CRAMS, collaborates with suppliers and engineers on test plans, and conducts PQP at supplier sites.

• Demonstrates depth and breadth of expertise in reliability engineering and related disciplines.
• Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
• Leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity.
• Solves complex problems using sophisticated analytical thinking and innovative solutions.
• Impacts achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives guided by functional policies.
• Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with stakeholders to adopt alternative viewpoints.
