Product Manager, Platform

About the role

Brain Co. is building AI‑native operating systems for regulated institutions and is looking for a Platform Product Manager to shape the shared systems that enable rapid product delivery at scale. You will work in San Francisco with engineers and product teams to identify patterns, define standards, and create reusable foundations that accelerate customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify recurring engineering patterns and delivery friction across products and customers.
• Decide when to create shared systems or standards versus keeping work product‑owned.
• Partner with engineering to define clear interfaces, ownership, and readiness criteria for platform components.
• Ensure shared foundations are the easiest, safest path for teams to ship new features.
• Monitor adoption and real‑world usage of platform services and iterate based on feedback.
• Maintain lightweight platform processes that align with actual delivery needs.
• Protect product team velocity by avoiding premature standardization or unnecessary coordination.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping and scaling complex systems in a fast‑moving environment.
• Technical or builder mindset with strong product judgment.
• Ability to introduce standards without over‑constraining teams.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and making high‑impact decisions with incomplete information.
• Clear communication skills across engineering and product groups.
