Product Line Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead product change management, coordinate engineering change orders, and ensure accurate bill of materials for semiconductor and display equipment. The role involves close collaboration with global product support, field service, and strategic vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Own product change management (PCM) and control, including unreleased product approval.
• Approve and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Part Change Notifications (PCN).
• Manage field service activities and filter system feedback impacting customers.
• Ensure accuracy of shipped configurations and BOMs through CaRM and NSR reviews.
• Develop and execute common module roadmaps and component obsolescence strategies post‑Phase 5 of ePLC.
• Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, spare levels, and restricted parts.
• Lead cost‑reduction roadmaps and manage strategic vendor issues.
• Oversee all post‑release product changes driven by engineering, quality, safety, or customer demand.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth in product change management and related disciplines.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices for products and processes.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving skills to devise innovative solutions.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for cross‑functional alignment.
