Product Line Management Lead

About the role
Join Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, to drive product line management for semiconductor and display equipment in Austin, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Own product change management (PCM) and control, including unreleased product approval and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processing.
- Implement Part Change Notifications (PCN) and manage global product support, ensuring accurate customer shipped configurations and Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity.
- Lead configuration accuracy review meetings (CaRM) and approve non‑standard requests (NSR).
- Develop and execute component roadmaps covering part obsolescence, replacements, alternative vendors and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, spare levels and restricted part orders, and manage strategic vendor issues.
Required profile
- Demonstrated expertise in product change management and a solid understanding of related engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, competitive landscape and how product line activities integrate with broader business functions.
- Ability to lead small projects, mentor less‑experienced colleagues and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of analyzing complex information and making sound judgments.
