About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Product Line Management (IV) professional to lead product change management and support field service activities for semiconductor equipment. The role focuses on ensuring accurate product configurations, managing engineering change orders, and driving cost‑reduction roadmaps.
Key responsibilities
- Own product change management (PCM) and control, including unreleased product approval.
- Approve and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Part Change Notifications (PCN) globally.
- Manage field‑service activities, review system feedback, and ensure accurate shipped configurations and BOMs.
- Conduct Configuration Accuracy Review Meetings (CaRM) and verify BOM accuracy.
- Oversee non‑standard request (NSR) approvals and common module roadmaps post‑Phase 5 of ePLC.
- Implement component roadmaps addressing part obsolescence, replacements, alternative vendors and cost reduction.
- Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, spare levels and restricted parts.
- Manage strategic vendor issues and all post‑release product changes driven by engineering, quality, safety, customer demand or supply obsolescence.
Required profile
- Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in product line management and related disciplines.
- Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products and processes.
- Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills to address complex issues and identify innovative solutions.
- Proven impact on customer, operational or project objectives guided by functional policies.
- Excellent communication skills to convey difficult concepts and negotiate alternative viewpoints.

- Salary range $128,000 – $176,000 per year.
