About the role
Applied Materials designs, builds and services cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Product Line Management III role in Gloucester, MA is responsible for product change management, unreleased product approval, and roadmap implementation across the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Own product change management (PCM) and control
- Unreleased product approval and control
- Approve Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
- Implement Part Change Notifications (PCN) with Global Product Support
- Manage field service activities and filter system feedback impacting customers
- Ensure accuracy of shipped configurations and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Conduct Configuration Accuracy Review Meetings (CaRM)
- Approve Non‑Standard Requests (NSR)
- Own common modules roadmap and post‑Phase 5 ePLC implementation
- Develop component roadmaps addressing obsolescence, replacements, alternative vendors and cost reduction
- Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, spare levels and restricted parts
- Lead alignment meetings for product roadmap and market proliferation
- Implement cost‑reduction roadmap
- Manage strategic vendor issues
- Oversee all post‑release product changes driven by engineering, quality, safety, customer demand or supply obsolescence
Required profile
- Strong implant background with in‑depth technical knowledge of various implant platforms
- Experience assessing service readiness and driving tasks for NPI products
- Ability to collaborate with GPS, iTeam, Field and Engineering to design for install, serviceability and Applied services into NPI
- Partnering with AGS FSO focals and field teams to improve training and documentation
- Willingness to work on‑site in Gloucester; candidates must reside in Massachusetts or be ready to relocate
