About the role

Moog is seeking a Product Line Lead to join its Actuation Systems Business Unit in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on driving process improvement and leading cross‑functional teams to enhance internal and external program performance across the product line.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point between Supply Chain Procurement and Operations for all procurement activities within designated value streams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication among internal teams and external supplier partners.
  • Lead process‑improvement initiatives, including Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and Kaizen events, to accelerate design, manufacturing, and delivery performance.
  • Deploy improvement strategies both internally and with supplier partners.
  • Manage escalations, maintain positive supplier and customer relationships, and ensure compliance with US Government contractual and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline (Operations, Business, Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Operations, Manufacturing or Engineering, with at least 2 years leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with US Government contractual and regulatory frameworks (FAR/DFAR, REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, Import/Export regulations, EAR, ITAR).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 % to supplier sites or other Moog locations.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with SAP and MBS modules for planning, purchase order placement, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies; formal training desirable.
  • Experience with continuous‑improvement tools such as 5‑Why, A3, 8D, and Kaizen.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
