Product Engineering Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Product Engineering Manager to lead the Product Engineering Group for its Commercial Aircraft business. Based onsite in Buffalo, NY, you will ensure product integrity, resolve production issues, and drive cost and producibility improvements across design and manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Product Engineering team: plan workload, allocate resources, set priorities and coach engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and hands‑on support for production and development programs.
• Maintain assembly and test instructions, specify tooling/equipment, resolve assembly/test/manufacturing issues and manage MRB dispositions.
• Assess and improve designs for producibility, quality and cost; evaluate manufacturing processes.
• Manage supplier technical interfaces and approve supplier design changes.
• Provide field problem support, conduct failure analysis, review specifications and contribute cost proposals.
• Drive Lean and process improvements while coordinating with Program Management, Test Equipment, Design Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Define capital and personnel budget requirements and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical actuation systems, assembly processes and testing.
• Experience supporting multi‑site production programs, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Willingness to travel internationally (1–2 visits per year to the Philippines) and within the USA.
