Product Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense Group is seeking a Product Engineer to join the Missiles business unit in Salt Lake City. The role involves full technical responsibility for production programs within a value stream, focusing on missile control actuation systems. The position reports to the Site Engineering Manager and follows a 9/80 first‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal and external day‑to‑day technical interface during the production phase.
• Support evaluation and implementation of equipment such as assembly fixtures, tools, production flow‑line systems, and test equipment.
• Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility, and quality for development and production products.
• Provide production assembly and test instructions, including formal Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures, engineering memos, and Electronic Historical Record entries.
• Perform engineering analysis to assess non‑conformances or technical issues that arise during assembly and test.
• Develop Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses to deliver long‑term solutions.
• Collaborate with Moog resources, conduct Material Review Board (MRB) analyses, and assist in evaluating possible Notice of Escape (NoE) to customers.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to remove roadblocks and ensure on‑time hardware delivery.
• Drive product design changes by redlining drawings, hosting Change Review Board meetings, and completing engineering change orders.

• Must be able to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Ability to work on a first‑shift 9/80 schedule.
