Product Designer – Collaborations

About the role

As a Designer, Collaborations you will join a cross‑functional team that drives sample development from concept through production for West Elm. You will work closely with design, technical design, merchandising, sourcing and global operations to deliver trend‑forward, customer‑centered products each season.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and lead weekly product development meetings and work sessions.
• Support seasonal product presentations to senior leadership.
• Create specs, concept boards and manage them through product approval.
• Provide insights, training and process improvements to meet calendar milestones.
• Analyze fashion trends and competitive activity to uncover new opportunities.
• Collaborate with global operations, merchants, sourcing, engineering and color teams using PLM tools.
• Identify and resolve product issues throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• Portfolio or website showcasing current and past design work.
• Minimum 3 years of retail product design experience.
• Degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience designing category‑specific products with attention to materials and pricing.
• Proven ability to identify trends and translate concepts into viable product solutions.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools usage.
