Procurement Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is offering a 10-week summer internship in its Accelerate program, focused on procurement and sourcing within Global Business Services. The internship runs during the summer of 2027 and includes professional development workshops, exposure to senior leadership and visits to field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement and sourcing initiatives across Global Business Services, aligning sourcing strategies with business priorities.
• Analyze large, complex datasets with business stakeholders to find cost savings, process improvements and service optimization opportunities.
• Support strategic sourcing, including supplier research, data analysis, supplier selection and contracting.
• Apply business analytics, statistics and/or data science to categorize, profile and analyze procurement and business data.
• Identify ways to improve cost, cash flow, efficiency and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Global Procurement teams to support sourcing initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies and help execute procurement processes and best practices.
• Help evaluate supplier information and performance to support business decisions.

Required profile

• Active college or university enrollment, graduating May or June 2028 (rising seniors).
• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Strong interest in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, business analytics and/or data science.
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify trends and insights.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
