Process/Project Engineering Co‑op

About the role

This co‑op supports the development of a new large‑molecule drug substance manufacturing site in Wilson, NC. You will work closely with process engineers, project engineers and external vendors, gaining hands‑on experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute engineering documentation, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and commissioning/validation test plans.
• Assist in data entry, database maintenance, and tracking of equipment utilization.
• Support project managers with scheduling, documentation, and monitoring of timelines.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and SOP creation for process engineering and instrumentation systems.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Bioengineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Basic understanding of large‑molecule drug manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with biopharma equipment (e.g., bioreactors, chromatography, tangential flow filtration) is a plus.
