Processor/Batch Operator - 2nd Shift M-F

About the role

Kraft Heinz is hiring a Processor/Batch Operator for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, in Mason, Ohio. The position starts at $25.40 and involves operating equipment in a food processing environment while following quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow complete production schedules with minimal scrap or spoilage.
• Visually inspect equipment at the station for cleanliness or obvious maintenance problems and clean machine components as needed.
• Monitor equipment controls such as temperature meters and valves and adjust them as needed.
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move ingredients, pallets and totes into and around the processing area.
• Open ingredient cases and packages using can openers, knives, band cutters, snips, pliers and similar tools.
• Record data on work completed, ingredients used, lot codes and other processing information.
• Assist in cleaning equipment and lines between recipes and acquire ingredients and supplies from the warehouse.
• Acquire batch samples and transfer finished products to drums, totes or tanks by pumping through the piping system.
• Determine the appropriate batch size to meet orders and line needs.
• Operate equipment safely following GMP guidelines and keep the work area clean; other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• History of safe work practices.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving or logistics environment.
• Able to safely lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail, able to call out defects and apply quality standards.
• Qualified score on a job skills assessment, coordinated after a passing interview.
