Processing Technician (OA)

About the role

The Processing Technician (OA) provides essential administrative support for the transportation and enlistment of military recruits. This position conducts pre‑enlistment interviews, maintains recruitment records, and ensures all required documentation is complete and accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with transportation logistics for recruits from the MEPS.
• Consolidate name projections from senior service liaisons and forward them to each CTO.
• Conduct pre‑enlistment or pre‑accession interviews to gather undisclosed information affecting moral or physical suitability.
• Maintain and distribute orders, transportation orders, and enlistment contracts.
• Screen applicant records to verify completeness according to each military service’s requirements.

Required profile

• Subject to suitability or fitness determination based on a background investigation.
• Non‑sensitive position requiring a personal security background investigation.
• May require occasional Saturday work, shift work (before 0600 or after 1800), unscheduled overtime, overnight travel, and shift flexibility.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
