Process Technician Apprentice – Hands‑On Training in Chattanooga

About the role

Join BASF’s polymer dispersions plant in Chattanooga, TN as a Process Technician Apprentice. You will earn a paycheck while completing a Chemical Engineering Technology concentration at Chattanooga State Community College, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload process equipment and operate it to keep products within customer specifications.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all safety regulations.
• Operate a forklift and handle materials safely.
• Keep accurate batch/run sheets to ensure lot integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour fixed shifts (day or night), including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts after graduation.
• Ability to work in a plant environment in all weather conditions, stand for long periods, use stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 lb.
