Process Solutions Specialist – Passenger Cars

About the role

Join BASF’s Automotive Refinish team in Whitehouse, OH as a Process Solutions Specialist for passenger cars. You will work on evaluating applications of global and local refinish products, driving process efficiencies and supporting customers across the collision repair industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct application evaluations of BASF and competitor products, following global methods and reporting standards.
• Determine best‑in‑class process efficiencies and support tenders, approvals and business development for OEMs, MSOs and other target groups.
• Coordinate field‑trial criteria, scope, methods and procedures for new product projects and validate market acceptance before launch.
• Capture and summarize trial data in global templates and databases, ensuring timely reporting.
• Provide technical and process content to marketing for product creation and modification.
• Develop and deliver training programs to internal and external personnel on technologies, products and processes.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in automotive refinish and collision repair processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.
• Willingness to travel 10‑20% for field trials and customer engagements.
• Innovative mindset with interest in digital solutions that add value for customers.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of automotive refinish products and application methods.
• Experience with product evaluation, field trials and data reporting.
