Process Integration Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Integration Engineer to lead the integration of advanced semiconductor and photonic devices. The role involves translating device designs into manufacturable process flows and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive technology development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process integration for advanced semiconductor and photonic devices, creating robust manufacturing flows.
• Define and track critical process parameters, drive yield improvement, SPC, and continuous improvement across complex fabrication processes.
• Own end‑to‑end integration flow execution, including process definition, build scheduling, risk assessment, and readiness.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and customers to support technology development and material selection.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field (Master’s with relevant industry experience considered).
• Strong experience in semiconductor process integration within leading fabs or foundries.

Required skills

• Knowledge of lithography, etch, thin‑film deposition, metallization, implant, CMP and other unit processes.
• Experience with yield analysis, metrology, statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency with simulation and design tools such as Cadence, KLayout, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, COMSOL, ANSYS.
• Ability to conduct optical, electrical, and tolerance analyses.
