Process Engineer – Plasma

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Engineer specialized in plasma technologies to develop and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes. The role involves designing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with customers to solve complex engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on challenging plasma process experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, conduct root‑cause analysis, and resolve process engineering issues.
• Measure film properties, interpret data, and generate internal documentation.
• Partner with vendors and suppliers to implement new technology and analytical instrumentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of semiconductor plasma process engineering experience in R&D or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (PhD preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in complex problem solving and technology road‑mapping.
