Process Engineer – Manufacturing Improvement

About the role

Amgen is seeking an Engineer to lead and execute improvement initiatives across its manufacturing operations. The role focuses on reducing cycle times, increasing efficiency, and improving yield while supporting system reliability and new technology introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement cycle‑time reduction, efficiency gains, and yield improvement opportunities.
• Support system reliability by assessing performance risks and applying risk‑reduction strategies.
• Conduct technical investigations, root‑cause analysis, and equipment troubleshooting using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Analyze data and develop engineering solutions employing Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma, and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Assist with new technology introductions, equipment modifications, and execution of engineering runs.
• Collect, organize, and present results for operational issues and small‑scope engineering projects.
• Provide onsite day‑to‑day technical support for equipment and process troubleshooting.
• Apply process engineering principles to design, specify, install, start‑up, and validate process equipment and systems.
• Translate user and process requirements into engineering documentation aligned with standard practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to support technical investigations and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience applying structured problem‑solving methodologies.
